AHLS 485 - Immunohematology Practicum

Application of the theoretical-basis of clinical immunohematology and blood transfusion services in the clinical setting. Focus on safety, regulatory policies, techniques and skills in clinical immunohematology and blood transfusion services for competency building in evidence based practice for laboratory medicine. Recognition of laboratory personnel’s role as a member of the health care team. Participation in collaborative relationships in the practice setting.

Prerequisites & Notes
PRQ: AHLS 303 and AHLS 313; or consent of program.
