PHIL 452 - Contemporary Philosophy of Science

Analysis of recent literature dealing with the structure and methods of science. Issues centering around topics such as induction, description, concept formation, and verification discussed in terms of the works of such philosophers as Hanson, Margenau, Hempel, Nagel, and Toulmin.

Prerequisites & Notes
PRQ: 6 semester hours of philosophy at the 300 level or consent of department.

Credits: 3
