Students seeking certification should consult with the discipline coordinator as early as possible to make certain they meet certification requirements as well as those set by the university for graduation. Other state requirements include educational psychology (including human growth and development), history and/or philosophy of education, and the psychology of exceptional children. In addition, students seeking general science teaching certification are also required to take Emphasis 4. Chemistry for Pre-Professional Students
Successful completion of the course of study for emphasis 4 fulfills the requirements for a minor in biological sciences. Requirements in Department (32-33)
