Requirements (24)

Six or more semester hours in the minor must be taken at NIU.

FLIT 101 - Elementary Italian I Credits: 3
and
FLIT 102 - Elementary Italian II Credits: 3
(May be waived on the basis of high school preparation or placement examination.)
FLIT 201 - Intermediate Italian I Credits: 3
and
FLIT 202 - Intermediate Italian II Credits: 3
(May be waived on the basis of high school preparation or placement examination.)
FLIT 301 - Advanced Italian Grammar and Composition Credits: 3
FLIT 311 - Advanced Italian Conversation Credits: 3
FLIT 321 - Masterpieces of Italian Literature Credits: 3
FLIT 481 - Special Topics in Italian Literature Credits: 3
or
FLIT 482 - Special Topics in Italian Linguistics Credits: 3

Possible Substitutions

Three hours from the following may be selected to substitute for either FLIT 301 or FLIT 311:

ARTH 393 - Italian Early Renaissance Art Credits: 3
ARTH 396 - Italian High Renaissance Art Credits: 3
(Available for general education credit.)
ENGL 318 - Language and Linguistics Credits: 3
ENGL 483 - Renaissance Literature Credits: 3
