This certificate is jointly administered by the College of Visual and Performing Arts and the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. The certificate has been designed to prepare students for careers in public and private museums and related historical societies, archives, or other agencies or institutions which work with artistic, cultural, or historical materials.

ANTH 493 - Anthropology Field Study Credits: 1-6
(May meet the certificate requirements when substantial treatment of museum studies is included.)
ART 665 - Museum Internship Credits: 3-6
HIST 500 - Internship in Public History Credits: 3-6
ILAS 502 - Internship Credits: 3-12
(May meet the certificate requirements when substantial treatment of museum studies is included.)

At least two of the following (6-9)

ANTH 462 - Museum Methods Credits: 3
ART 554 - Museum Administration Credits: 3
ART 555 - Curatorial Practice Credits: 3
