MUTC 619 - Post-Tonal Analytical Techniques

Study and application of theoretical principles and analytical techniques appropriate to the music of the 20th century including neo-tonality, symmetry, atonality, set theory, serialism, minimalism, aleatory techniques, and eclecticism.

Prerequisites & Notes
PRQ: Admission to the Master of Music (M.M.) degree program. Demonstrated proficiency on graduate music theory diagnostic examination or grade of C or above in MUTC 402 (Music Theory Review). Consent of school.
