FLSP 591 - History of the Spanish Language

Introduction to the origin and evolution of the Spanish language. Emphasis on the phonetic, phonological, and morphosyntactic changes that Latin underwent and eventually gave rise to the Spanish language and on the social, political, and historical circumstances that have shaped the map of the Spanish-speaking world.
