MET 550 - Numerical Weather Prediction

Idealized and real-data numerical weather prediction simulations of synoptic and mesoscale weather systems, with a focus on forecast initialization, sensitivity, physical parameterizations, post-processing, and verification. Two hours of lecture and two hours of laboratory.
