LTCY 720 - Social Justice Pedagogy in Literacy Instruction

The content of this course will benefit curriculum leaders within literacy education to be more culturally responsive reflexive leaders themselves and assist individuals with whom they work and supervise to do the same. Examination of historical and current social justice pedagogies in literacy education, both in formal and informal settings. Attends to variants within social justice pedagogies (e.g., culturally responsive, transformative, feminist, and queer pedagogies).
