ANTH 424 - Social Dynamics of Migration


Examine issues of migration from an anthropological perspective, using anthropological and social theory to explore the relations between people, mobility and money. Conceptual themes are used to consider contemporary socio-economic issues related to migrant motivations and challenges, and how they shape their decisions and lived experiences. Topics may also include international migration, remittance flows back to the country of departure, and formations of ethnic communities in host countries.
