PHIL 404 - Philosophy of Language

Study of philosophical problems concerning language, including issues of syntax, semantics, pragmatics, and hermeneutics. Topics include meaning, reference, logical form, modalities, tenses, metaphor, indexical terms, indirect discourse, anaphora, theories of truth, and semantic paradoxes.
