PHIL 341 - Philosophy of Mind

Survey of traditional and contemporary philosophical problems concerning the mind and the cognitive sciences. Topics may include the mind-body problem, the problem of other minds, personal identity, intentionality, mental causation, consciousness and self-awareness, reductionism, the possibility of artificial intelligence, and the nature of psychological explanation. Designed for students interested in psychology and cognitive science as well as for students interested in problems in the philosophy of mind.
