Majors in art history and visual studies who have and maintain a minimum 3.40 GPA in all of their art history course work are eligible to participate in the honors program in art history and visual studies. Students interested in obtaining the B.A. degree with honors should consult with the undergraduate coordinator or art history division head as soon as possible after declaring their major.
Requirements for the baccalaureate degree in art history and visual studies with honors include completion of the foreign language requirement for the B.A. degree with a GPA of 3.00, and completion of a senior thesis. The foreign language must be chosen in consultation with an art history faculty adviser.
The senior thesis must be approved by a committee consisting of an Art History faculty adviser and a second reader.
