Minor in Ancient Studies (18)

The interdisciplinary minor in ancient studies offers undergraduates a structured curriculum covering various aspects of the study of ancient cultures and societies and their reception in modern times. Completion of the minor requires satisfactory completion of at least 18 semester hours from among the following courses. Total semester hour requirements may be reduced by up to nine credit hours if ancient language courses are waived on the basis of high school preparation or a placement examination. At least nine credit hours must be taken from courses offered in each of three different departments. At least six semester hours of 300-400 level courses must be taken at NIU.

Up to 12 credit hours from electives at the 100-200 level.

Between 6-18 credit hours from electives at the 300-400 level
