CSCI 637 - Pattern Recognition and Data Mining II

An in-depth exploration of recent research in the area of pattern recognition and data mining, building on the introductory course to pattern recognition and data mining. Topics include the advanced variants of neural networks, deep learning, ensemble learning, reinforcement learning and online learning, advanced unsupervised learning methods as well as cluster validation. Extensive reading on latest research in the area and programming projects. Extensive laboratory work.
