BME 446 - Biofluid Mechanics

Provides a foundation for studies of biofluid mechanical subjects. Topics covered include kinematic principles, the Navier-Stokes equations, the vorticity equation, unsteady fluid flows of physiologic relevance, turbulence and interfacial phenomena. Emphasis is placed on physical analysis of the cardiovascular and pulmonary systems, as well as of other biologic systems of interest.
