Requirements


Students are required to complete a minimum of 30 semester hours of graduate credit. Students are required to complete a specialization in French or Spanish. A student’s program of courses should be formally approved by the graduate coordinator early in the program of study.

During their last semester of study, candidates are required to pass an oral comprehensive examination demonstrating a satisfactory level of communicative competence and the ability to integrate a knowledge of language, literature, and culture effectively.
