Minor in Health Education (21)

This minor is designed to prepare students for work in a variety of health and wellness settings within schools and communities.  The minor prepares students to promote healthy behaviors by planning and implementing programs, preparing instructional materials, assessing individual health needs, and coordinating community/school efforts. The minor meets the minimum standards of the Illinois State Board of Educations’ Health Endorsement and individuals may be eligible to take the Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) Exam.

All majors are eligible to complete this minor.

Check departmental information, or with minor advisor, for any additional eligibility requirements to complete the Health Endorsement or CHES exam qualifications.
