KNPE Degree with Honors

Students pursuing any of the undergraduate degrees offered in Kinesiology and Physical Education (B.S.Ed. in Physical Education, B.S. in Kinesiology, or the B.S. in Sport Management) can earn a degree with honors while also completing Full University Honors in the University Honors Program (UHP). To qualify for the KNPE degree with honors, students must be in good standing in the UHP.  

Students are eligible to graduate with KNPE with honors if they complete the following requirements, which will also count towards their completion of UHP Full University Honors: 

• Graduate with a 3.3 GPA or better in the major. 
• Complete a minimum of six (6) semester hours of KNPE honors courses. 
• Complete one KNPE approved Honors Engaged experience as part of the UHP Honors Engaged requirements (see the UHP office for a full list). 
• Culminating capstone experience through courses such as: KNPE 436, KNPE 498, LESM 452 (see department offerings for a full list).
