Student works for a firm or government agency under the sponsorship of an economics faculty member. Work experience must be approved by NIU’s Cooperative Education/Internship Program and the Department of Economics. Student prepares a written report under the direction of the faculty member in the economics department. S/U grading. May be repeated up to a maximum of 6 semester hours with department approval. Up to 3 semester hours may be applied toward satisfying the requirements for the B.A. or B.S. in Economics. Does not count toward the Minor in Economics.
Prerequisites & Notes PRQ: Junior or senior standing with a declared major or minor in economics and consent of a department faculty member.
