THEA 406 - Physicality and Rhetoric for Heightened Language

Study and practice of the movement styles and vocal demands necessary for performance of Elizabethan and Restoration/Neoclassic theatre. Continued exploration of the Fitzmaurice system of de-structuring and re-structuring and the Williamson Physical Technique. Topics addressed: Scansion, Imagery, Rhetoric, and use of the voice in outdoor settings.

Prerequisites & Notes
PRQ: Admission to acting emphasis and THEA 310, or consent of school. CRQ: THEA 408.
