FINA 435 - Introduction to FinTech

Introduce students to the fundamentals of Finance Technology (FinTech). Topics include disruption in the financial markets due to FinTech, crowdfunding and peer-to-peer lending, blockchains and cryptocurrencies, and algorithmic and high-frequency trading.

Prerequisites & Notes
PRQ: Satisfactory completion of the finance core (FINA 330, FINA 340, and FINA 350) and ACCY 306 and MGMT 335 and MKTG 295 and OMIS 338 for all business majors; or consent of department for non-business FINA minors.
