MUHL 221 - Introduction to Jazz Music

Enhances an understanding, appreciation, and enjoyment of jazz. Divided broadly into three activities: study of music fundamentals, rhythmic structure, and form; listening lessons arranged to illustrate the evolution of jazz music; and study of the origins of this American art form and its relationship to the social, economic, and political climates in which it developed.
