ECON 640 - Financial Economics


Introduction to and survey of theoretical and empirical research in modern financial markets with focus on infinite horizon models of capital accumulation, risk sharing, and asset pricing in the context of complete and incomplete markets. Principalagency problems, signaling and financial intermediation issues. Additional topics may include market microstructure, the roles of taxes, and optimal security design.
