GEOG 460 - Remote Sensing of the Environment


Introduction to the principles of acquiring and interpreting data from remote sensing systems. Extraction of the earth resource information through image processing techniques and applications of satellite remote sensing in earth and atmospheric sciences. Use of remote sensing for mapping, measuring, and detecting atmospheric motion and weather systems, and assessing environmental change. Lecture, laboratory, and field experience.

Prerequisites & Notes
PRQ: MATH 210 or MATH 229 and STAT 301, or consent of department.
