ARTH 553 - Cultural Perspectives in Early Modern Art

Readings and research incorporating interdisciplinary approaches in the history of early modern global arts. Various topics focusing on the relations of optics/vision and visual psychology to the creation and destruction of global artworks, art as propaganda, and images of war. May be repeated with different subjects. Multiple enrollments are allowed in the same semester.
