GERO 567 - Internship in Aging Services


This course offers students the opportunity to apply advanced gerontological concepts, practice skills, and to develop leadership skills through collaboration with an established aging services organization. Students participate in an approved preceptor supervised experience appropriate to their professional interest in aging services. Course of service experiences may include long-term care facilities, elder-service provider agencies, or other relevant organizational settings outside the university with a focus on older adults.

S/U grading may be used. May be repeated to a maximum of 12 semester hours.

PRQ: GERO 568 or consent of program.
