CYBR 505 - Computer Foundation for Cybersecurity


Designed to introduce students that lack some computer science background to the essential concepts of computer science, operating systems, and cybersecurity. Provides a strong foundation in key areas such as Linux, computer organization, operating systems, networking, and cybersecurity. By the end of the course, students will have the skills to understand and navigate modern computing systems and their security implications. Combines theoretical knowledge with practical experience, delivered through daily lectures and lab sessions that will ensure students gain both conceptual understanding and hands-on expertise. No prior background in computer science is required; however, a basic understanding of high school mathematics and logical reasoning will be beneficial.
